The Children of George and Harriett Pullman

George and Harriett Pullman were married on June 13th 1867 and their first child was born a year and almost two months later. Florence was to be the first of four children.

Florence Sanger Pullman, born on August 11, 1868. Florence was her father’s favorite child, even naming the hotel in the Pullman town after her.

Harriet Sanger Pullman was born a year after Florence on September 17, 1869.

The long-awaited sons, twins, arrived on June 25, 1875. George Mortimer Pullman, Jr, known as “Georgie” and Walter Sanger Pullman, known as “Sanger”.

Each having unique personalities and lived incredibly opulent lives. In this blog series I will attempt to detail each of their personalities and lives lived through the Pullman letters and diaries.
